I don't think it's very fair that mages' egos are rendered obsolete by G13's special upgrade system when every other destinys' egos have the potential to be better than a special UG weapon. Before G13, the differences between UG'd wands and ego wands was that egos let you chaincast without using extra MP, but now that special UGs are out, regular wands not only allow you to chaincast for almost no penalty, but also increase magical damage.
