Avon is the home of the Bard of Erinn also known as Shakespeare! Avon is a special, isolated place that cannot be reached by most travel means. There is no Moongate or pathway to get there.

Then how do I get to Avon?

You will need to complete a short quest chain before you can even step foot into Avon. When you log in after the update, the quest owl will give you an earring directing you to the Alby dungeon.
Once there you will receive a playbook with an introduction to the Tragedy of Hamlet. Sharp-eyed readers may note it seems eerily familiar to the current events of Erinn.

If you’re curious about what the playbook could mean, just speak to Duncan with the book in your possession and he will provide a magical Quill that can transport you between Erinn and Avon. This item is permanent, but has a five minute cool-down time.

When you arrive in Avon, you will immediately notice many strange things. First, one side is pretty and lively, while the other is dark and foreboding.

Several buildings off in the distance seem to be submerged in shallow water. There are also a number of paper sheep and butterflies fluttering about. There are lots of odd things about the place and you’ll need to get to the bottom of it.

What stories will unfold when you step into the realm of Avon?
