PVP Dueling Combos? General Skill Combos? What is your strategy?

I ask this because being gone so long I missed out on a lot of new skills, trends, etc. Plus, I was never all that skilled at PVP anyways. I just relied on getting weak opponents, or weak enough opponents I could tackle with my brute strength, haha.

Anyways. Anyone wanna share some of their favorite combos? Duel or not-duel. I'm just curious as to how I can tackle opponents in more than one style (my own), I suppose.

The skills I typically use are smash, counter, ice, and windmill. If one smash doesn't do it, I usually hit up counter. Then ice counter. -__-; Or, if I can get the opponent up against a wall, smashmill. It usually works for me, but I'm sure it's my strategy that fails me during major aggro, and I don't think playing dead or counting on luck is a good approach haha. If I'm playing mage I just spam ice and ice spear. But that only works as long as I have pots and whatnot haha.

I'm too nub to pvp so here are my nub pve strategies:
Ice counter. It's the only one that doesn't fail me :c Otherwise it's spam adv magic up the butt and hope they don't all come at me at once. Playing dead isn't the best thing, especially since sometimes monsters will still hit you (or splash will eat your arm off). Having said that, as a squishy mage with not much strategy, playing dead has served me well. Even though it's not the most... heroic of moves, it's provided me a safety net for quite a while~

Basically, I offer you no new strategies because I have none. Good luck finding some :B

If it's a 1v1, go with the shameless Ice mage tactics and IS lock or chaincast icebolt. In an arena, Fireball if it's not a forsrs fight. But otherwise, you're going to lose as a mage because of the facts that we can't move with adv magic charged, our skills take longer to load, and our bolts have short range compared to archers. As for melee, I have no idea

Stage 1: Charge at the enemy
Stage 2: Ice Spear enemy
Stage 3: repeat Stage 2 until you win

For PvP duels in Mabi? Here, I can offer you this.

Step 1: Don't even bother. It's broken enough as it is with the ridiculous setup Mabi has.

I could insert a huge wall of text about me ranting on and on about the stupidity of Mabinogi PvP, but I'll spare your eyes from said wall of text.

Just put it this way. I don't even play World of Warcraft (rather, I don't like that MMO), and I prefer their system of PvP alot more.

PvP in general is too unfair. But, a common strategy is charge-smash-assault-wm-1hit. If the person hasn't died by then, it's close to being over.

Sounds good to me! Haha. I'm guessing that's one of the combos you overwhelmed me with? Haha. I don't think I had assault slash even... I was like, OMG WHAT IS THAT?!? Haha

I dunno about mages. I only fought archers, melee and alchemist. I haven't tried fighting any mages yet, or even less any witch. In mari there is only 2 known Witch ingame and one of them is mine.
